V. Benefits: How this program will impact your life
«Human beings typically live in a state of arrested development in which the psychological domain (ego) governs our consciousness. Reaching the fullness of our potential implies continuing with our development, which leads beyond the psychological to reach the realm of Being or spirit.» ~ AH Almaas
The Enneagram, from the perspective of TRANSCENDENT IDEAS and ESSENTIAL VIRTUES, is presented to us as an invitation to 'go further'. That is to say, those who know the Enneagram of Personality have an enormous amount of valuable information about how our ego works, personality style or 'social mask'. Although this time we are invited to move forward.
Based on what is taught in the vast majority of Enneagram trainings, you may already be familiar with passions, mental fixations, safety and stress points, intelligence centers, instincts, and a few other common topics. With all this information - well used, and with adequate motivation - it is possible to develop ourselves in the psychological, individual and relational aspect, just as this information can be used effectively in the improvement of work teams, in coaching and psychotherapy.
However, some experience the need to 'go further'. Beyond the ego, the psychological plane of the system. For those who want to go further, transcend the ego, who are motivated to embark on a psycho-spiritual path, the Enneagram of Transcendent Ideas - along with the Enneagram of Essential Virtues - is what they are looking for.
The Transcendent Ideas are nine philosophical perspectives of objective reality understood as a Totality. Understanding, reflecting and meditating on these nine perspectives will allow us to access a higher, contemplative mental plane, in greater contact with our authentic Being and with greater equanimous connection with the present and, at the same time, said work with transcendent Ideas will facilitate us cultivation of the essential Virtues, which are manifested on the higher emotional plane.
